Crawfish Cravers Awareness Day is celebrated annually March 20 to correspond with the beginning of Spring-a season considered among the best for crawfish. The day is founded by a native of Louisiana-the first state to have crustaceans, and serves to educate crawfish lovers on the history and origin of the crawfish they eat.
